The Parish School of Religion

The St. Anthony Religious Education Program assists parents in ensuring that all Catholic youth have an opportunity for a quality religious education. The program strives to maintain a nurturing, loving, caring, and spiritual atmosphere while ensuring the right of each person to learn respect for God, self, and others.  The religious education program offers the students the opportunity to not only learn about their Catholic faith, but to also develop their relationship with God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit as they continue their journey of lifelong learning in the Catholic faith.

All children wishing to take part in the preparation for the sacraments must be registered at the Parish School of Religion Office. Those registration times are published in the parish bulletin during late July and early August.  Please see the PSR Calendar for PSR session information or call Veronica Vazquez, Director of the Religious Education Program  Office for more information (620)624-1552.

This will also be the same process for Baptized students who have not received their first communion and are in 8th grade or higher education.

It is important to stress to parents that they need to be attending mass with their student(s).  After having missed 3 classes, the student and parent will meet with the pastor and director to discuss what is needed for the student to continue.

Sacraments don't have to happen after two years of catechesis (no timeline).
